Whole Grain Waffles

Ingredients:

  • 4 cup Whole Grain Flour
  • 1.5 tbsp Baking Powder
  • tsp Baking Soda
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 1.5 tbsp Sugar
  • 4 Eggs
  • 3 cup Low Fat Buttermilk
  • 0.5 cup Water
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 2 tsp Vanilla

In your stand mixer (or by hand if you want a work out) whip the egg whites until soft peaks. Then set aside.
Add your liquid ingredients including the egg yolks and mix until combined. Add the flour (that already has the baking soda, powder and salt) into your wet mixture and combine (do not over mix your flour). Then gently fold in the egg whites.
Bake according to your waffle maker instructions. We found the ceramic to be non-stick with minimal oil spray on the first batch. When the steam stopped, we took the waffles out.
