Sourdough Discard Crumpets

Ingredients:

  • 3 cup Sourdough Starter
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda

Directions:

Mix the ingredients in a large pour spout batter bowl. When you add the baking powder the batter will rise and become light and airy.
Oil your molds and place on medium heated griddle. Pour batter into each mold and cook until the top is no longer wet and you can see little holes all over. Remove ring and flip, cooking on the other side just a minute or two to lightly brown. Tip: We used mason jar lids and a pair of tongs and a fork to press the crumpet out of the mold before turning.
