One Pot Tofu Teriyaki & Rice

We make TWO skillets one with chicken and one with TOFU or vegetarian Chicken

Ingredients:

  • .5 cup Soy Sauce
  • .25 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 2 tsp Fresh Grated Ginger
  • 3 Cloves Crushed Garlic
  • 4 tbsp Corn Starch
  • 3 cup Water
  • 2 cup Jasmine rice
  • 4 cup Water
  • 5 TBS Butter
  • 28 oz Firm Tofu
  • 1 cup Grated Carrot
  • 1 Fresh Pinapple

Directions:

Slice your tofu and brown on both sides in your skillet.

Remove the tofu and add the rice and butter and give those a stir to get some color.
Add water and carrots and simmer covered for about 10 minutes.

Meanwhile make your teriyaki sauce. We used a blender to combine all of the ingredients. Then after the rice is about half way cooked we poured the sauce into the pan and continued cooking for another 15 minutes or until the rice was done.

While the rice was finishing up we sliced pineapple and grilled under the broiler and served the bowls with fresh grilled bits.
