Easy Marble Cake

This marble cake is so moist it doesn't need a frosting.  It's baked and served in a 9x13 pan which makes it easy snack cake dessert.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • .5 cups oil
  • .5 cups butter or plant butter
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tablespoon Vanilla
  • 1.5 cup Whole Milk Yogurt
  • .66 cups Whole Milk (2/3rds cup)
  • 2.5 cups Cake Flour (If you are grinding your own wheat berries, sift twice or use a double mesh strainer.)
  • 1 tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • .25 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 cup Coco Powder (unsweetened)
Instructions
  1. Cream sugar and butter and oil together until light and airy with stand or hand held mixer. Add eggs and continue to mix another minute. Combine the remaining ingredients and add to bowl and mix until blended and frothy. Lower speed and stir in the dry ingredients (flour, baking power and soda, salt) EXCEPT for the coco powder. Place 2/3rds of the batter into a greased 9x13 baking pan. Add the cocoa to the remaining batter and stir until combined. Drop spoon fulls of the chocolate batter on top of the vanilla and use a chopstick or end of a wooden spoon to swirl into marble pattern. Bake at 375° for 35-40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
