Best Oven Fries

Ingredients:
- 6 lb Gold Yukon Organic Potatoes
- 5 tsp Fry Seasoning
- 0 Olive Oil
- 2 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- 0.5 tsp Black Pepper
- 0.5 tsp Paprika
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 450°F. Line two large rimmed baking sheets with parchment paper.
2. Slice Yukon Gold potatoes into thin strips. No need to peel them if they are organic.
3. Place sliced potatoes in a large bowl and cover with boiling water. Let sit for 10 minutes. This helps remove some of the surface starch and gives the fries a head start on cooking.
4. Drain thoroughly and spread the potatoes onto clean kitchen towels. Pat completely dry. Removing the excess moisture is one of the secrets to getting lovely crispy oven fries!
5. Transfer the dried potatoes to a large bowl and drizzle generously with olive oil. Toss until evenly coated.
6. Add the fry seasoning and toss again to distribute throughout the potatoes. If making your own seasoning blend, combine the onion powder, garlic powder, salt, black pepper and paprika before adding to the fries.
7. Spread the potatoes across the prepared baking sheets in a single layer. Give them plenty of room! Overcrowding the pans will cause the potatoes to steam rather than roast.
8. Bake for approximately 20 minutes, then remove from the oven and flip the fries using a wide spatula.
9. Return to the oven for another 15–20 minutes, rotating the baking sheets if necessary, until the fries are beautifully golden brown and crispy around the edges.
10. Remove from the oven and taste for seasoning. Add a little extra salt or fry seasoning while still hot, if desired.
11. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
The trick to great oven fries is the hot-water soak, drying them thoroughly and giving them enough room on the baking sheet. Crispy outside, fluffy inside, and no deep fryer required!
